The franchise RE/MAX of the Battlefords was first established in North Battleford in November 1987 and a branch office was established in Meadow Lake in November 2008. In 2016 an opportunity came up for 4 RE/MAX agents to buy the business, and without a second thought they seized the opportunity. They had no doubt they wanted the brokerage to be locally owned and operated and keep working with their friends and coworkers as well as all their past, present and future clients. In August of 2016 Marlene Kotchorek, Wally Lorenz, Brett Payne and Kayla Petersen became the new owners of RE/MAX of the Battlefords as well as RE/MAX Meadow Lake. In 2022 Wally Lorenz and Marlene Kotchorek became the sole owners.
